Throughout my career and ongoing professional development, I have gained experience with a variety of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Existentialism,  Family Systems (Family of Origin Psychotherapy), Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy, Exposure Therapy (ET), and Solution Focused Therapy.
While integrating many of these models, I incorporate Neuropsychotherapy which  takes into account the dynamic interplay around the mind, body, social interaction, and environmental factors that contribute to life's journey.    By understanding the impact of these
areas on an individual's neurological, cognitive, emotional and behavioural development, therapy may then guide the desired change.  By understanding the mechanisms of our biology (and in particular our life long neurological brain development),  a holistic therapeutic understanding will lead towards personal growth and well being.

The Role of Neuropsychotherapy
"Neuropsychotherapy aims to change the brain.  It does not however, target primarily brain structure but focuses on the life experiences encountered by the individual."
Dr. Klaus Grawe sees the brain as specializing in the processing of life experiences.  Life experiences are meaningful with regard to the needs that are embedded within the brain structures of each human being.   Neuropsychotherapy therefore, strives to shift the brain into a state that enables these basic needs to be fully satisfied.   https://www.thescienceofpsychotherapy.com/about/neuropsychotherapy)
